The Association of the Austrian Wood Industries (Fachverband der Holzindustrie Österreichs), together with the European Organisation of the Sawmill Industry (EOS) and the European Timber Federation (ETTF), are inviting you to the marvellous city of Vienna for the International Softwood Conference 2023 (11-12 October 2023) – one of the most awaited events of the year in the wood world.

The conference will offer the opportunity to deeply scrutinize trends in the timber market focusing on facts and figures showing softwood production as well as consumption in the most relevant countries for the business – not just in Europe. The pandemic and the war in Ukraine have triggered remarkable changes in the way we live and in the geopolitical landscape. Speakers will try to gauge what the future will hold as the sawmillers and timber traders are reckoning with a rapidly changing world, with policy measures taken at national and European level also having a strong effect on the business.
