Register now for the stakeholders’ seminar “Innovation in the forest-based sector: from idea to practice” hosted by FTP and NSG Estonia, as part of the flagship conference under the Estonian presidency of the EU Council: Nature-based Solutions: From Innovation to Common Use.
Estonia is a forest-rich country that has seen the impact of research and innovation reshaping its forest- and wood-based businesses over the past decades. Bringing together the main stakeholders of the forest-based sector, the FTP National Support Group of Estonia (NSG Estonia) aims to increase the competitiveness of the sector through its research and development strategy, outlining research priorities of key importance to its member organizations.
As part of the flagship conference of the Estonian EU Council presidency “Nature-based Solutions: From Innovation to Common Use”, the FTP seminar is a unique opportunity to meet forestry experts, industry leaders and funding providers behind the transformation of the forest-based sector in Estonia; “Innovation in the forest-based sector: from idea to practice” will be held on the premises of Tallinn University, on 24 October 2017.

The seminar will provide stakeholders with the opportunity to actively participate in sessions, discover recent accomplishments and flagship initiatives, learn from the best practices of successful European projects and discuss ways forward to foster forest-based innovation both nationally and at pan-European level.

The flagship conference “Nature-based solutions: From Innovation to Common Use” is organized by the Estonian presidency of the Council of the EU, the Estonian Ministry of the Environment and Tallinn University, from 24-26 October 2017.
Participants of the FTP seminar may also register for the flagship conference, including a keynote speech by the FTP Chair Lena Ek, on 25 October.
