The European Commission has launched a €1 billion call for research and innovation projects that respond to the climate crisis and help protect Europe’s unique ecosystems and biodiversity.
The deadline for submissions is 26 January 2021, with selected projects expected to start in autumn 2021.
The projects funded under this call are expected to deliver results in ten areas:

The total budget is divided into 21 call topics. Among others, the call topics below would be of interest to forest-based stakeholders.
LC-GD-1-1-2020 | Preventing and fighting extreme wildfires with the integration and demonstration of innovative means |
LC-GD-4-1-2020 | Building and renovating in an energy and resource efficient way |
