Following its success in 2017, the 3rd edition of EU Raw Materials Week will take place from Monday 12 to Friday 16 November 2018, in Brussels. A series of events organized by the European Commission will address the latest developments for raw materials in the EU. The raw materials community will get the chance to discuss and exchange information on all relevant issues: policy, technology, international cooperation, framework conditions, knowledge base etc. Having consulted with FTP and other organizations from our sector on how to increase the involvement of stakeholders from the forest-based sector, the Commission is planning to have a special session dedicated to the future of wood-based raw materials. The session will highlight the work of the European Innovation Partnership (EIP) on Raw Materials, the forest-based industries, and other channels towards securing the wood supply chain, but also to discuss obstacles on the way.
